CONCEPT
Schiaparelli was one of the first couture 
houses to use zippers in its garments. Elsa Schiaparelli formed a partnership with a zipper company to create customized zippers for 
her designs.For those who wear Schiaparelli, clothing becomes an expression of one’s personality. As one slides the zipper, it 
feels like peeling back layers to reveal the inner self.

In this concept, clothing is treated as skin. As each layer is opened, elements burst from within. I deliberately designed this as a short loop, where, in the end, everything zips back into the garment.
